It’s the month of February and Love is all around!…is it?
With the launch of a new website and the hope of creating content that will keep you coming back for a visit,
I decided to create an “Open Heart” Tassel.
They are simple to make (just like how most interiors should be styled). They were made with love and in a hurray to get something posted on the blog.
(honesty, is the best policy we try to teach this to our kids).
The supplies are easy to find at your local craft store and can be made in many tissue colours to suit any event theme.
Don’t think just “Valentine’s Day”!
Yes!! I show how to make them… keep scrolling down
Ok! Here we go…the big “How to Make an Open Heart tassel?” picture tutorial
Only twelve steps!!!! It’s not a recovery program, although I feel the need to recover from all the hard work and many hats I wear to put this post together. Saying “Love My Job” mantra…
How to make? “Open Your Heart to me” tassel part 1
The pictures are self explanatory and straight forward. There are still a few things for me to explain like the following:
- You will need to attach two pipe cleaners together, because one isn’t long enough.
- It only takes one sheet of tissue to make the tassel. I hand cut the fringe, but you may use a fringe cutter.
Would’ve been way easier for me to use a fringe cutter! But no I just like doing things the hard way. So I decided to make it easier for you to purchase one right here. How easy is this?
How to make “Open your heart to me” tassel part 2
Disclaimer: Remember the pipe cleaners have metal wire in them and will be twisted in the middle to make one large piece.
When forming the heart be careful not to prick your fingers (as I did) it’s just a little ouch!!
They are pretty, versatile, and can stand up on their own (can’t say much for me, after working hard on putting this first blog post together).
Use them like garland and place around a special dessert table as I did, or string them on a stairwell bannister, place on shelves… etc.
Customize them to your needs and event! Have fun making your “Open Heart” tassel.
What’s next? Well a couple more beautiful pictures below to inspire you to make these, as well as the hope of having you come back to see what else I have come up with.
Thanks for Visiting and “Opening your heart to me” !!
Enjoy
