February is here!

and what better way to begin this month than

with my current social media motto of…

“Share the love”

and it begins with my personally designed “Coffee Talk Pillows”

that were made as a give back initiative from the Heart!

Share the LOVE with our Coffee Talk Pillow

What is the Coffee Talk Pillow all about?…

well, it was my inner desire to
design and create with a give back initiative in mind!
After losing a dear friend and colleague to a mental health illness and knowing that so many suffer in
silence with some form of a mental health issue I found that I needed a creative outlet in order to do something.

I believe this was my cathartic way to deal with loss that has occurred  in my life.
If you think about the many ways we experience grief, not only through a death of a loved one, but by many other ways such as; a move, a break up, life changes, work, school, friendships, trust, approval, financial situations, retirement, pregnancy etc.. I would say that we all experience mental health challenges in some form. The key for me is how do we stay mentally strong?
according to an article I read recently, it stated that as many as
one in five Canadians will experience a mental health problem or illness in any given year.
Ok!, I want to go back to “keeping it light”- by the way,
that is the name of my handcrafted natural EcoSoya TM candle (visit shop to see).
For those that have been following closely or the newcomers to my world of Interiors and blogging you would know or will soon find out, that I love Coffee! Also, that my interest into the seriousness and intricases of the coffee world came when my husband and I owned and founded a Café in our area where Espresso was a foreign word. It made sense to me that I would work on a home decor item that involved coffee in some shape or form.

Let’s Coffee Talk about..
the Design and Concept

the graphic design that I created was based on the pour of a latte heart which embodies the craftsmanship of a creative and passionate Barista.  It signifies the need to pour your heart out of what ever is troubling you and talk to someone.  Meet them at your favourite Café or over a cup of java in the comfort of your home or theirs.
$10 of each pillow sold will go to Jack.org please see link jack.org

my handmade tassel

this is where I wanted to add a little touch of something extra special.
I wanted a unique detail with subtle reminders that tell someone
“Love you a Latte”, “Be Strong”, “Just Breathe”,
“Wake up and think positive” and that its o.k. to” Espresso Yourself”!
the design of the tassel is also tactile which is used in some forms of therapy.

How it can fit into your interiors?

see below how I have collaged a female and male concept to give you an idea of how easily the Coffee Talk Pillow Black and White Motif
would work with a Pink/Peach toned colour palette and a Blue/Grey toned colour palette.

Sometimes we need little reminders to
“Just Breathe” and “Wake up and think Positive”
and end the stigma of Mental Health
